More than shave ice

The summer of 2015 we (Jenny and I) had a dream of starting a small business in Raymore, MO. The plan was to launch a 50's diner but we quickly realized we didn't have the capital for a brick and mortar store.  The thought was to make a place where friends and families could go, have fun and enjoy each other.  After tons of thought and heaps of prayer we landed on the idea of a shave ice business. 

The new plan was set, we'd launch Shivers in 2016 and just hope that people would buy into the idea. Wow did they! 

We are so thankful for the community that has been behind us since day one, supporting us when the lines were more than 30 min long and cheering us on when we launched new flavors. From the beginning we had fans chasing us all around the Metro to get Shivers treats. 

We love the Shivers community and are thankful for all of you who have supported us and helped us cultivate a family friendly environment where sharing a picnic table with strangers to talk about life has become the norm. 

2016 - We had the crazy idea that we could introduce the best products to the best people and Shivers was launched.

2018 - We added a second trailer to help keep up with all the events that people wanted us at and brought several employees into the family. 

2018 -  Started our Owner/Operator program. Contact us for more information. 

2019 - We are launching a new guest experience at the 400 W. Pine location including family games and lots of additional seating. We also upgraded a trailer to better support larger events.  

2020 - We've added to the menu, learned how to make cotton candy for the masses and jumped on the idea that Shivers 2 Go rental was the next big thing in shave ice. 

2020 (part b) After a big hit from the COVID response, we were unsure how to move forward until we were approached buy an awesome local family that had some space available in a building located on the Historic Town Square in Harrisonville and wanted to know if we would like to bring Shivers into the space. After the first look we were sold! It felt like a Shivers space. 

So in less then 14days from Idea to opening day we designed, built and moved into our very first Shivers with out wheels! It's Located inside Artisan's Corner on Wall Street. 

2020-2024 We'll lets just say we are blessed! We've added trailers to try to keep up with requests. we've partnered with Summit Waves and the City of Lee's Summit. We've been invited to serve some very large events and boy have we learned a lot.
